The Students Association & Arts Society of CEG (SAAS) is the official cultural and student representative body at College of Engineering, Guindy. With a dedicated team of 20+ elected representatives, every member has a unique role to play.
SAAS strives hard for the welfare of the student community. We believe that every student has immense potential waiting to be fulfilled. To support the same, we at SAAS promote collective participation, cooperation and individuality.

SAAS organises an annual event to welcome and create a warm and friendly environment for the freshers.
The event besides providing a platform to showcase their talent also serves as an opportunity to meet
and interact with their peers and seniors.
As the saying goes, “A small match lights a big fire", SAAS organises an intra college cultural fest - AGNI – every year to indulge the students in various fun events amidst their engaging academic schedule. The three-day fest includes movie screening, concert night and a plethora of events for the students to participate and enjoy with their friends.

An astonishing and promising annual event of our renowned institution is TECHOFES, South-India’s Biggest Cultural Fest. We are successfully stepping into the 76th edition of Techofes. The grand fest is a multitude of events, workshops and shows, primarily focusing on providing a rostrum for creativity and soulful talents.
The SAAS(Students Association and Arts Society) of CEG is a non profitable
student run body with a rich heritage established in the year 1948.
SAAS is responsible for ensuring the welfare of the student community by addressing their grievances and framing suggestions for the betterment of the academic environment..
SAAS primarily aims to find the dormant talents amongst students and assist them to harness their resources well to become top notch individuals by organising various cultural
activities.
• Techofes, the inter college cultural fest is the biggest such event in South India witnessing a humongous turnout of around 30,000 students.
• Agni, the intra college cultural fest to identify the radiant talents and nurture them to compete on a global scale.
• Fresher's day to welcome the first year students who had just set their feet in the campus aspiring to reach immense heights.
